A FEW MORE THINGS
It is on-call relief work across SW Edmonton. The latest profile asks for a full shift starting at 8:15 a.m. and ending at 3:45 or 4:15 p.m. Some coverage is arranged in advance; other shifts come up at short notice. The current source posting is paused.
Requirements depend on the role. The current substitute profile requires Alberta child care certification and experience with young children. Each live posting will identify required qualifications, preferred experience and any checks needed before starting.
Pay and benefits vary by position. The latest substitute profile lists a base rate of CA$16–18 per hour, with eligible wage top-up separate. Its quoted total is CA$18.64–26.62 per hour. These are reference rates from the September 2026 posting; final rates and eligibility must be confirmed when recruitment reopens.
The proposed assessment focuses on skills used in the classroom: clear explanations, accurate letter-sound modelling and responding thoughtfully to young learners. Instructions will be shared with candidates invited to this stage. It should assess teaching clarity, not a preferred accent.
This is a design preview. You can explore the role details and try the application flow with sample information, but nothing is submitted or saved. Live openings and applications will be connected after the design is approved.
